Nia Dance - A practice of embodied awareness with Jess Shrimpton
Nia is a holistic movement practice that blends dance, martial arts, and healing arts into a joyful, deeply embodied experience.
Rather than following strict choreography, Nia invites you to listen inward, to move from sensation, breath, emotion, and impulse. Each class becomes a moving meditation, supporting presence, creativity, and connection between body, mind, and spirit.
Through dynamic yet accessible movement, music, and guided awareness, participants are encouraged to explore how the body feels rather than how it looks. This cultivates greater self-awareness, nervous system regulation, and a sense of freedom within the body.
Nia supports strength, mobility, emotional expression, and energetic flow, while creating a safe, inclusive space for all bodies and levels of experience. Movements can be adapted to suit individual needs, allowing you to move at your own pace and honour your body’s wisdom.
Expect moments of play, grounding, flow, and stillness. A practice that mirrors life itself and invites you into deeper relationship with yourself.
No previous dance or movement experience required.
Nourishing the Nurturers Half-day Retreat
Nourishing the Nurturers is a half-day retreat devoted to replenishment, connection, and gentle return to self.
Held on the eve of Mother’s Day, this gathering is an invitation for women in all phases of life—the maiden, the mother, and the crone—to come together in a shared space of care, reflection, and restoration. Whether you are actively nurturing others, longing to be held, or simply seeking a pause, this space honours the many ways we give and receive.
Guided by Nicky and Christie, the afternoon weaves together a rich tapestry of practices designed to soften the body and soothe the nervous system. Through sacral and hip-focused movement, breathwork, meditation, and a journey through the koshas, you’ll be gently guided inward. The experience is deepened with mantra, yoga nidra, and the subtle healing touch of Reiki, allowing for rest, integration, and renewal.
We close with tea and quiet connection, offering a moment to land and carry the nourishment forward.
This is a space to exhale.
To be held.
To remember that you, too, are worthy of the care you so often give.

An Integrated Path - Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop
An Integrated Path
Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop:Finding your anchor
Are you interested in cultivating a kinder relationship with the demands of the modern world?
This is an invitation to move from a reactive "doing" mode into a resilient "being" mode. By integrating neuroscience with foundational mindfulness and the practice of meeting ourselves with internal warmth and patience, we facilitate a space for you to cultivate the skills to meet life’s challenges with a clear mind and a steady heart.
Anchored in the felt sense of the body, this path supports you in navigating daily life with a more grounded presence—wherever you find yourself.
"Mindfulness is a lifelong journey that is practiced one moment at a time. The most important moment of that journey is always the one where you choose to show up for yourself."
— Jon Kabat-Zinn
The Roadmap
The Introduction: Finding Your Anchor
We facilitate an initial space to explore the foundational move from "doing" into "being." This introductory workshop offers a practical entry point into mindfulness, blending modern research and insights with the felt sense of the body to help you establish a grounded presence in your daily life.
The Three-Week Container: Nurturing the Foundation
Following the introduction, we invite you into a dedicated three-week container—a space to embody your practice more fully. Together, we nurture a sense of curiosity and non-judgment, allowing for the space to see things as they are.
Whether you are beginning again with a fresh perspective or nurturing an existing practice, this journey offers the support to weave these qualities into the very fabric of your lived experience.
