Homecoming
200hr Yoga Teacher Training
Part-Time August-November 2026
Homecoming is an invitation to return to your body, your breath, and the quiet inner knowing that has always been there. This training is held as a remembering rather than an acquiring, a soft landing back into what is already alive within you. At Kāya Shala, we honour yoga as a lived practice, one that weaves presence, humility, and devotion into everyday life. Here, learning unfolds in a spacious, grounded way, guided by philosophy, relationship, and deep listening. You are welcomed exactly as you are, and supported in coming home to yourself. From this place of authenticity, your teaching may naturally emerge.

Meet Your Teachers
Christie Holt
Christie Holt is a Canadian-born yogi who has found a home on the coast of South Africa. With a deep reverence for both nature and yoga, she weaves these passions together to inspire us all to live in harmony with the earth and the land beneath our feet. Through her teachings, Christie encourages students to reconnect with their innate sense of belonging—to their inner light, to the land, and to one another. She nurtures a sense of community and connection in Ballito, where she resides, inviting all to return to their bodies and the present moment at her open-air studio, Kāya Shala. Christie’s classes carry a poetic and heartfelt quality, fostering warmth, compassion, and equanimity. In her presence, students are encouraged to cultivate inner peace and extend this love outward, creating a ripple effect of kindness and love in the world around them.

Who this is for?
This training is for those who feel a genuine call to deepen their relationship with yoga and are willing to meet the practice with devotion, discipline, and care. It is for students who sense that yoga is more than something they do on the mat, and who are ready to engage with it as a living, embodied path. This is not a passive experience; it asks for presence, commitment, study, and honest self-inquiry. You will be supported, guided, and held within a grounded and relational container, while also being challenged to listen closely, take responsibility for your learning, and stay with the work as it unfolds. Whether you feel drawn toward teaching or toward a more rooted way of living, this training welcomes those who are prepared to show up fully.
